Summary- the core of hospitality design is thoughtful design.
Nowadays, online services are taking over in the field of design due to
the unique benefits and services that they can offer clients who wish to
have a great design for their future place of business.
Creating a hotel, restaurant or establishment that is service based require a design that is ideal for your target market, budget, and functional requirements and space available. Nowadays, one might think that going to a design firm for a hospitality design is the only way to do it. During the design process, they already spend a considerable amount of money. Though; it is a tedious job that does not warrant extremely big expenses especially early on with the project. Hospitality design is not available for clients who like to use the internet as the primary communication tool. How does that happen? Let's take a look.
Hospitality design online is not as weird or impractical as it might sound. Nowadays, there are design companies who are making use of the internet in order to open the lines of communication and understanding between client and designer about the structure, layout and design of the establishment. Designers take their work closer to the clients since they focus the job on the requirements of the client. Normally, they would require the clients to fill out a comprehensive form in order to extract all details of the project, since the request is written, the designer has a more thorough understanding and a documentary proof of what the client has specified.
With hospitality design, it is important to always follow the latest requests and recommendations of the client as the design becomes more visible. Through online conferences, chat and video conversations, it is possible for the clients to actually see the project and discuss the changes in real time even if they are on both ends of the country, or even the world. Hospitality design done online shrinks the time the design is processed and revised since the design can be changed as the client communicates criticisms and suggestions. This makes it easier to ensure quality and customer specific output that is still structurally and functionally sound.
Designers who offer hospitality design online tend to focus on design and consultation services. They do not deal with contractors. However, if you want to, they can offer suggestions for the different materials that you need for the project. This is something that some clients find hard to discuss with and that is why choosing online design firms do offer something extra special without compromising the budget of the clients. They can offer possible suggestions for tiling, hardwood flooring, furniture and other important components.

Let's first begin with identifying some of the most common
obstacles that can interfere with achieving all that we desire in life.
Since early childhood many of us are brought up to believe in certain
things about success and how to actually succeed.
This has ultimately meant that for the masses we have core beliefs instilled within us that don't exactly have our best intentions in mind. These core beliefs would read as follows:
We accept the level of success our parents experienced as we grow. Upon completing our education we then find ourselves holding down our first real job. These traditional core beliefs would then lead us to believe that we should dedicate ourselves and focus on excelling within the company or perhaps transferring the skills to another employer for further advancement or income potential. This will be the first major mistake that many of us will make by instinctively following this particular set of deep routed beliefs.
This I should make perfectly clear is not a particularly bad thing as many people are satisfied in life without ever breaking beyond the designation of employee. Who this actually affects most are those who travel down this exact road but are very unhappy with the outcome of their lives on a whole.
These unfortunate souls are the dreamers the ones who always fantasized about doing something more in life but due to their restrictive beliefs about what they thought was actually possible for them to achieve they failed to act.
This is touching on the core belief system mentioned earlier. Core beliefs are instilled in all of us, some have beliefs that limit there personal outcomes while others have a belief system that truly encourages them to shoot for the stars any beyond without question.
If you take just one piece of advice from this article it's the simple fact that whether you believe you can do something or you believe you can't... your right.
One can change their core beliefs of what's actually possible through acquiring knowledge and finding examples of others who have already achieved what it is in life they want most. The ability to change and adapt our core belief system is what makes the human brain so extraordinary. We have all become excellent at justifying where we are in life and why. Alternatively we all have the power within us to adopt a belief system that nurtures huge and immediate change to what we believe is possible.
Becoming complacent when it comes to how we earn a living or contemplating why we never followed our dreams in the first place is where many people find themselves at some point in life's journey.
Generally this all boils down to fear:
Take what you've read hear today and start to create positive change towards what you really want in life. The only thing holding you back is the fears you've created within your own mind. I recently saw a documentary about the late Steve Jobs the founder of Apple who in an earlier interview made a remarkable observation about life. He went on to say that life truly opens up when you realize that absolutely everything that surrounds you in life was created by someone no smarter or more talented than you yourself. These are words that any entrepreneur should live by, never doubting their ability to have a huge affect on the world around them.

Report Shows How to Out-Negotiate Suppliers & Contractors
This world is filled with extraordinary people who influence the
fabric of our society. Life is always presenting us with opportunities
for personal growth and lessons for our journey towards greatness.
Recently, I read a quote by Albert Einstein that stated, "The only path
to TRUE GREATNESS is through the school of hard knocks." We love to
admire champions who rise high above obstacles that stand in the way of
their plans, purpose and progress. The word champion describes one who
is a fighter or warrior.
We've heard it said before, "It's not the size of the dog in the fight; it's the size of the fight in the dog." My pint size dog is known for her feisty behavior at times. She vacillates between being Scooby doo scared one minute to bold as a lion the next. I've witnessed all 8 pounds of her bark profusely at a dog 5 times her size. Most recently, I had to chuckle when I saw her barking at a little Chihuahua that was smaller than her probably about 4 pounds. As CoCo continued barking to let her position be known I was in utter surprise, when the mini Chihuahua refused to run for the border and the two entered a barking match.
The question I want to pose is do you still have a fight of determination residing within or have you numbed your true passion and chosen to sit idly by while others soar to great heights? When it comes to accomplishing our goals we can either allow granted access to futile excuses or deny entry at the very onset.
During my participation as a pageant contestant one of my sister queens really inspired me with her poise under pressure. We were preparing for our red carpet photo shoot and one of her 4 inch heels broke. I left her in the restroom working with someone who was helping to repair it. Later that afternoon we saw each other in the parking lot and I said to her, "Oh, you fixed your shoe!" She turned around and showed me the back side of the shoe while standing without a heel. That was a prime example of the champion's way. She was walking as if she had two functioning high heels. She could have staggered with a limp drawing unnecessary attention to herself. How many of us walk around with a limp in our attitudes making constant complaints such as, "I don't like my job, my money is acting funny, and I'm so tired" etc...
Every day we awaken there will be challenges waiting but true champions are ready to fight back before, during and after impending adversity. I challenge you to convert your issues into a well of inspiration that will make an impact and intrigue onlookers. Always remember, when life hits you hard, don't you dare back down, stand tall and hit back harder! That's the champion's way!

Is Your Brand Positively Negative?

Power Motivation & Personal Mastery Adding Value - Individual & Team
If you've blogged or spent any time on Facebook, you've
encountered people who will give a "positively negative" comment,
comments that may to sound positive but end up sounding negative because
of a word or phrase that they add in it. It affects those who post
afterwards, like your comment or comment after a "positively negative"
comment. Your connections can even show signs that they've been "worn
down" by the emotion of that comment. Whether the positively negative
person is blind to their negativity or they're trying to be witty or
sarcastic, the bad impression is left for all.
What if you are the positively negative person?
How will you know?
Look at a comment before you hit "share" or "send". Does it sound anything like this - "I read through your post and found something of value - finally." Or, "It's the first time I read through your post without getting bored."
Are you the one at a gathering when people say "congratulations" to someone for their promotion and you say "It's about time."?
Are you the bearer of doom and gloom? Are people suddenly quiet or preoccupied when you're speaking in a group? Do you comment on a status update or a post and suddenly a lively conversation turns to you being the last to post?
Not all of these are sure fire signs that you are a positively negative person, yet they can be symptoms. If you suspect you are, it's time to ask a good, trustworthy friend if you are. And then listen to what they say.
How do you handle the positively negative person hanging out on your Facebook page or blog?
Don't judge or assume - if they've only done it this one time. You never know what challenges someone is experiencing and it costs you nothing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Maintain your positive outlook - when you have a positive outlook, negativity won't spoil that for you. Maintaining your positive outlook will rub off on others and will keep a positive focus on your responses to their comments.
Keep your emotions in check -There are times when negative people really use up our patience. When you feel that you are about to reach that, stand back and take a while before giving a response. Ensure that your response does not signal emotional stress; make sure that you still respond with a calm tone.
Remember what you can lose and gain - if you think about this, you will come up with better and appropriate responses to negative people. Keep in mind that when you talk, you are wearing your personal brand. Whatever you say and however you deal with others will reflect on your brand. If you get emotional, you might lose more than that negative person. If you know how to handle that person, you will gain your audience's trust, respect, and loyalty.
Don't discount the comments - reading negative comments may drive us to discount what the message is truly saying. Read comments and look out for points that you may learn from. If you read their comments with the willingness to learn, you will still benefit from such comments.
Accept the reality of negative people - some people see the glass as half empty, other see it as full. That's just life! Accepting will just give you a better hand in dealing with them.
A great question to ask yourself when you do feel compelled to counsel someone who seems to be "positively negative" all the time is to ask yourself this. What matters most to me - being right or keeping the relationship?

Creativity Killers: Early Warning Signs

If you closely examine the relationships involved in creating
your marketing communications, you will discover that there are many
facets involved. It is of the utmost importance that all parties are in
step with each other in order to produce a top-quality product. There
are some "early warning signs" that the creative understanding between
an Agency and its clients might be, at best, out of sync, and at worst,
headed for a train wreck. A few of these points are listed out below - I
hope you not only enjoy them but that they provide some serious
insights for you:
*Never Explain Rejections - If you keep quiet, and keep your unspoken goals to yourself, you will always have the upper hand on your creative team because they will never even get close to satisfying you.
*Cram Every Product Into Every Ad - You know those creative types - always trying to push a design that leaves so much "unused" space on any given page. Even though a strong presentation on a commanding feature or benefit might actually sell something, don't let all that space on the page go unused.
*Don't Bother To Follow Up With Research - You might learn that some creative approach other than your own actually worked and deserved to be repeated or expanded to other product lines - but you would have to give up some control over the creative process and that would never do.
*Nit-Pick - There is nothing - and never will be anything - that cannot be criticized and "improved" by you or your advertising committee. Even though your creative team has worked weeks to perfect a concept, it can always be torn down.
*Never, Repeat Never, Praise Good Work - Always keep the creative team on its toes by not telling them they have done good work. After all, you just might get more of the same.
These points were originally written to try to provide guidance to some young, but inexperienced, Account Executives on the Agency side of the business. They have been in my file, and in the back of my mind, for over thirty years and I am still amazed at the timeless wisdom they represent. If nothing else, they are a reminder that any successful creative problem solving can only be achieved if the whole team is rowing in the same direction. If, in the execution of your marketing communications program, you begin to sense that something might be out of sync on the creative side of things, solve that problem first - then tackle the bigger creative issues. Early warning signs might start small but they will quickly mushroom to proportions that can completely derail a creative effort.

A sociological approach to study race and ethnicity began around
the end of the nineteenth century and it turned the study of race and
ethnicity away from its biological perspective. According to the
sociological approach, there are no pure races. Social Darwinism, a
result of the larger Darwinian perspective, believed in biological
differences among races. However, the social science changed and looked
at the race, ethnicity and society as social phenomena and at the
beginning of the twentieth century, social scientists left the Social
Darwinian views behind.
As time passed and traditional societies transformed to modern ones, people emigrated to urbanized and modern cities and societies to get better opportunities. Then, when ethnic and racial groups emigrated to modern cities, they were considered as minorities, and this was the beginning of the sociology of race and ethnicity in modern society.
This societal change in American society has three phases: Agrarian society, industrial society and post-industrial society. The first phase is after the European colonization in America. America at this time was an agricultural society. Following the Civil War, the United States became an industrial society and after the World War II, because of a second change in labor need, the United States entered a post-industrial phase which needed white-collar workers more and more. As a result of this change, the ethnic and racial groups have changed during this period.
There are three major schools of thought on American ethnicity. The first is assimilation-ism, which believes that racial and ethnic groups assimilate into a changing society. The ethnic pluralism is the second school of thought, which believes that ethnic groups survive in the change process. The third school of thought on American ethnicity is the ethnic conflict theory, which argues that there is an ethnic competition for resources in a changing society. These were the social theories of race and ethnic relations on American ethnicity. Beside this, and taking the prejudice of individual Americans, there is a kind of psychological approach as well. Of course the sociological and the psychological approaches are interrelated and inseparable.
Immigration is considered as the most important factor in shaping American ethnicity. It began with the immigration of diverse groups into North America and their contact with one another and with indigenous peoples. Although immigrants went to America for many reasons, one of the most important reasons was looking for jobs and new opportunities. Then, as we study American ethnicity, we must take the immigration as a response to labor needs into account. Not were all the immigrants to America pulled to immigrate, but some of the were pushed by high rents, population pressures, lack of opportunities and evictions. Then the immigration flow to the United States depend on economic and social conditions in home countries as well as labor needs in the United States.
Another important thing which should be taken into consideration considering immigration, putting the pull and push aside, is that the decision to emigrate was typically a family decision. That is, family members migrated to solve or lessen the economic problems at different stages of family life. the second factor could be the emigrated relatives and friends. They who had emigrated earlier wrote home about opportunities and chances in America and they sent money to them so that they pay their transportation costs to immigrate to America. The third factor is that many people immigrated to the United States to be reunited with family members already in America.
We can have two major perspectives when it comes to American ethnicity. The first perspective which comes from a conservative and neo-conservative approach is looking at the American ethnicity as a whole. That is, we try to create one out of many. This approach accepts the existence of many ethnic and racial groups in America, but it tries to consider them as a whole and wants to make them one. This approach comes from political science. The second perspective is a sociological one which comes from a new left approach. It tries to distinguish different ethnic and racial groups one by one and it focuses on the differences and tries to argue that this one has been made up of many ethnicities and peoples and it sees the society not as a whole but as parts.
Taking the theories we said above into consideration, we can categories these two approaches into them. The conservative approach can be categorized as the assimilation-ists who believe that the ethnic and racial groups assimilate into the society and become one. On the other hand, the new left approach can be seen as the pluralists, as they say that ethnic and racial groups survive and keep their own culture within the society and each of them should be into account.
